What regulation ?

In France, from 1st July 2024, the alarm pistol is a category C12 weapon. You now need special documents to buy it. With this law,  unfortunately can't sell them out of France.
However, it is only used for home defence: assault / intrusion / theft. It is forbidden to carry and transport it without legitimate reason.

What is the difference with a blank gun ?

Nowadays, when we talk about alarm guns or blanks, we are talking about the same weapon. In fact, an alarm pistol can fire two main types of ammunition: incapacitating gas bullets and the famous blank bullets (which produce noise and smoke).

When you buy an alarm pistol, you are therefore buying a blank gun.

How do I recharge it ?

The alarm pistol has a calibre of 9 millimetres. It can be loaded with 9 mm blank cartridges (traditional or flash) / gas cartridges (pepper or CS). Gas ammunition is available in boxes of 10 and blanks from 10 to 100.

How much does it cost ?

You can find a cheap alarm gun for less than 100 euros. Simply sort the items by price using the appropriate filter at the top of the sub-category. About ten references are available at this price.

You will also be able to find sets that include a defensive weapon and ammunition, which can be used immediately.

Is the Colt 1911 alarm gun available ?

The basic Colt M1911 is a particularly sturdy semi-automatic pistol that was invented in the same year. It was used by the US Armed Forces from 1911 to 1985. Since the patents expired, it has been copied by many manufacturers around the world. The Colt 1911 is also available today in replica form for home defense.

To date, two Colt 1911 alarm pistols are available in the gun shop: the Kimar 911 and the Umarex Colt Government 1911 A1. Both fire 9 mm blanks, gas or flash bullets and are available in a variety of finishes.
