Rubber bullets guns

Rubber bullet weapons come in several types of products subject to different legislation.

The best known is the gomm cogne which fires small bullets or rubber buckshot. It takes the form of a relatively simple looking gun. The gomm cogne is a powerful defense weapon that belongs to the C3 category. Its sale is therefore regulated. The pistol, the revolver and the CO2 rubber bullet rifle are replica weapons. They fire rubber bullets of smaller diameter or other types of ammunition as required. They must be equipped with a CO2 cylinder to be used. Less powerful than the gumdrop, they are classified as category D and are available for sale to adults.

Why choose a rubber bullet gun?

Advantages of rubber bullets for personal defense

Rubber bullet weapons represent an excellent compromise for those seeking an effective means of self-defense while avoiding the lethal consequences of conventional weapons.

One of the main advantages is that these weapons are designed to neutralize an aggressor without causing serious injury.

Thanks to the impact force of rubber projectiles, they can cause enough pain and shock to deter any attack, while minimizing the risk of irreversible consequences.

What's more, they're easy to use, even for users with no previous experience of weapons. They therefore offer a defense solution accessible to all, whether to protect the home or to defend oneself in the event of an attack. The non-lethal nature of these weapons also makes them a more ethical choice for those wishing to defend themselves without risking irreparable damage.

Safety and efficiency: selection criteria

When choosing a rubber bullet gun, it's important to consider several criteria to ensure both safety and effectiveness. First of all, you need to ensure that the weapon has sufficient power to act as a deterrent.

Good-quality models can project bullets at a speed and force that guarantee temporary neutralization of the aggressor without endangering his life.

Safe handling is also essential. Rubber bullet guns are generally equipped with built-in safety systems to prevent accidental triggering. In addition, the user must always follow strict operating instructions to avoid any mishandling. Last but not least, regular maintenance ensures the weapon's long-term operability and effectiveness in times of need.

Comparison with other non-lethal defensive weapons

Compared with other non-lethal defensive weapons such as pepper sprays, tasers or truncheons, rubber bullet weapons offer far superior range and accuracy.

Whereas sprays and Tasers require close proximity to the aggressor to be effective, rubber bullet weapons can be used at a distance, generally up to several dozen meters. This gives the user a decisive advantage in terms of safety.

In terms of duration of effect, rubber bullets have an immediate impact, provoking pain and disorientation in the aggressor, leaving him little time to react. Tasers, on the other hand, often require continuous activation to keep the aggressor neutralized.

Rubber bullets, on the other hand, require only one well-placed shot to immediately deter a threat.

What rubber bullet weapons are available?

Fash ball Gun

Fires larger-diameter rubber bullets at speeds of up to 80 m/s. Used by the forces of law and order during demonstrations, the flash ball pistol is subject to registration. Unlike other rubber bullet models, it does not resemble a conventional weapon.

Rubber bullet CO2 pistols and rifles

Depending on the model, they fire rubber bullets, but also blank cartridges for training or deterrence; pepper cartridges to irritate the assailant; chalk or paint cartridges to mark the assailant. With each shot, they emit an impressive noise as the CO2 is released to propel the ammunition. In addition to specific cartridges, they must be fitted with a CO2 cylinder before they can be used.

Being less powerful than the bumper gum gun, CO2 models are available over the counter for adults.

Gum guns

Unlike other rubber-bullet weapons such as the flash ball, the bumper gum gun resembles a traditional handgun, which can reinforce thedeterrent effect in the event of a confrontation. Although its use is regulated, it is widely available and used for close-range defensive situations.
