Tonfa
The tonfa consists of a truncheon and a side handle to protect the hand. Originally, it was made of wood and was used in martial arts. Nowadays made of steel or polymer, it is used as a defence weapon for law enforcement or private individuals at home. There are also telescopic tonfas that work in the same way as telescopic batons: lower it down suddenly so that it extends. The tonfa is handled with dexterity. It is necessary to practice to use it correctly.
