Looking like a small, rather conventional flashlight, a highly effective personal defence weapon is concealed : an electric stun-gun of 2,400,000 volts. 
Allowing to illuminate in front of oneself, pointed towards the eyes, the lamp dazzles, and already produces a first deterrent effect.  
Then activating the taser mode in the air, causing an electric arc and impressive noise, adds a second deterrent effect.  
And if necessary, a prolonged contact, will put the aggressor KO, disrupting brain/ muscle communication.
